This is a folk/Box ukulele tuned to gCEA (low G). The low G allows for a larger library of available music than a traditional ukulele, yet keeps all of the same chord shapes as a high G instrument. Guitar players will find this similar to a guitar capoed at the 5th fret. The size, a little larger than a tenor ukulele, allows for tone quality and a fingerboard that is comfortable for a range of hand sizes.
